UCCS_Board_15_0225-copy-731x1024The Wintergreen event on March 11, held by USGBC Colorado Southern Branch at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, highlighted more than 10 years of sustainable leadership at UCCS.

Linda Kogan, Director of the Office of Sustainability, reviewed the achievements of seven LEED Gold rated projects and with six more LEED Gold rated project to come including Lane Center, Village at Alpine Valley, and Ent Center for the Arts.  She reminded us all that sustainability is an investment with over $3 M in energy and water savings attributed to the completed projects.  Linda also called us to the evolution of sustainability for UCCS and in all our communities of carbon neutral facilities, strong multimodal transportation, water resource use, and food networks.
