renee2Congratulations to my friend, colleague, and business partner of nine years at Ambient Energy, Renee Azerbegi.  This exclusive list of executives have made significant business accomplishments and philanthropic achievements in the Denver business community.  In 2015, the DBJ received a record number of nominations for the 40 Under 40 program.

Renee embodies the intent and spirit of the 40 Under 40 with an entrepreneurial passion for sustainable buildings that is the focus of her impressive energy.  After her master’s degree and gaining industry experience, she opened Ambient Energy 11 years ago at age 28.  The consulting that Renee and Ambient Energy provide helps to achieve new and existing facilities that are healthy, comfortable, sustainably built, energy and water efficient, and renewably powered.

I have had the pleasure of working with Renee in the fields of sustainable design, construction, and operations consulting.  During this time I have witnessed her leadership and dedication to the advancement of sustainability specific to buildings, construction techniques, technology development, and innovation in operations.  As the President and founder of Ambient Energy she practices what she preaches.

WELL Building is a new green building rating system focused on health and wellbeing, while Living Building Challenge is the most challenging green building rating system on the market and focuses on net zero energy, net zero water, red list materials and more.

Ambient Energy, headquartered in Denver, provides third party energy, sustainability, daylight and commissioning services for the new and existing commercial building market.
